SPEAKER_01Welcome everybody to the podcast. This is season two, episode 21 from Studio 7H here in a snowy Ontario, Canada. On today's episode, I'm going to talk about Canadian ufologist Dennis Prophet and a UFO sighting over the Pickering Nuclear Power Plant, which is in Pickering, Ontario, Canada, from 1975. Now, Dennis Prophet, he passed away in 2017, but in southern Ontario, he was a very interesting ufologist, and I will talk more about that later in the show. But first I want to mention something that if you follow the UFO forums on Facebook in the last week or so, you could not have missed an ad by the University of Arkansas Department of Psychology. They have posted a questionnaire online that they want as many people as possible to take. And what it is to quote them is to understand how people think about the possibility of extraterrestrial life. And I haven't taken the questionnaire yet, but it looks like it's a few pages long. I think it gives the how long it takes on their in all of their ads. But um that looks very interesting. And if you have completed this questionnaire, I'd like to hear what uh you think about it, what your thoughts are on that. And as always, I wonder what the purpose is of that, you know, other than the than the obvious purpose. I wonder if they are doing it for a government institution or just for themselves, or you know, what is behind that? And also on today's episode, we are not going to have a excerpt from a book being read today, and that's for a few different reasons. One of which is we are going to have a book review from Christine Scott. So if I was to have the book review and the book excerpt on the same show, it makes the show run really, really long. And I always try to keep the length down to a certain amount of time. Um, that's some feedback I would like to hear if you mind if the episodes are long, or I would like to hear your thoughts on that. And now it's time for our shout-out. So normally how I pick the shout-out city from a long list of small cities and towns where people listen to the uh UFO talker. But I did mention that um if you want to have your uh small town or city highlighted, that you can email me in with your suggestion and I'll be more than happy to put it on. So we did get a response from uh Kevin Bomber, and he lives in England, and he lives in what looks like a marvelous little village, the village of Thurlby, which is about eight miles away from Lincoln in England. And Mr. Bomber was very enthusiastic about where he lives and included a great deal of information and places of interest and pictures, which I really appreciated. And I'm gonna say that Thurlby is probably the smallest village that we've probably ever had uh mentioned on UFO Talker. It has a population of 164 people, and they have no restaurants, no bakeries, uh, no stores of any kind, but it's it does look like a really spectacular place to live, that's for sure. And he did mention that there is a spectacular looking church, and you know, I thought I'd written this down wrong because he said the church is dating from 925 AD, which makes it very, very old. So I actually just looked it up, and they actually say parts of the church uh date back to 925 AD, but still very old and very lovely. So Kevin did include that if you drive the eight miles to um Lincoln, that um they do have a wonderful bakery, and it's the Curtis Bakery, and they also have a great restaurant called Olay Olay, and it does look very interesting, and it has a lot more people living there so they can sustain that kind of commerce. But I want to mention something that Kevin uh Baummer does, and it is really unique. So he actually uh welds metal together in the shape of different animals, and uh his company is called Welder Beasts, and I'm definitely gonna put a link to that in the show notes so you can have a look at what he does because it is excellent work, that's for sure. And he has one, uh, it's a the head of a moose, and I can tell you it is spectacular. Wow, and there's a rhinoceros, full-size rhinoceros, it is uh just excellent work if you want to check that out. And it's called wilderbeast um.com, and I will also put a link to that in my show notes. And his son is also an amazing artist, and he has uh drawn wonderful pictures of many things, but some of them include UFOs. So he does have wonderful pictures of UFOs that he's drawn as well. SPEAKER_02In the early morning hours of October 3rd, 1976, Sergeant Saint Pierre of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police was sitting at the operations desk in Richabucto, New Brunswick. The ringing of the phone broke the silence of the office. Sergeant Saint Pierre looked at his watch. It was 3:30 a.m. On the line was a very excited Joseph Robushaud. He told Sergeant St. Pierre something very unusual had happened to him and if he could meet him five miles up Highway 11 on Highway 480. When Sergeant St. Pierre's police car rolled up on Joseph Robushaud, his face was pale and he was quite frightened. Joseph took a breath. At 2 55 that morning, he had been driving west on Highway 480. He noticed a large red glowing object about the size of the moon. He pulled his car to the side of the road and turned off his car. As soon as he turned his car engine off, the object started to move slowly up and down. Then the object started moving towards him. Fearful for his life, he turned the car on and accelerated in the opposite direction. He soon reached speeds of 115 miles per hour. In his rear view mirror, he could see the red glowing object catching up to his car. Within seconds, the UFO was 20 feet above the top of his car. Its red glow had lit up the inside of his car and the road all around him. As he approached a small group of homes by the side of the road, he slammed on his brakes and ran to the front door of one of the houses. He looked over his shoulder, and the red glowing UFO was hovering silently above his car. Suddenly, the UFO turned on its side, and the red glow became more intense. It was the size of a house. As Joseph dropped to his knees in fear, the UFO took off straight up at tremendous speed. Sergeant Saint-Pierre said that Joseph Robush could not have faked that kind of fear. Joseph Robush would never forget that night. He was never given an explanation of what it could have been or where it had come from.
SPEAKER_01Christine has written for Prairie Dog Magazine, Cracked, and Home Movies magazine, and she is co-owner of Centennial Books in Regina, Saskatchewan. What book do you have for us today, Christine?
SPEAKER_03Well, today we're going to talk about The Man Who Mastered Gravity, a Twisted Tale of Space, Time, and the Mysteries in Between by Paul Shotskin. It's 428 pages plus index and notes. It's published by Incorrigible Arts slash Embassy Books and Laundry. And it does look like an Amazon print-on-demand release. So it doesn't actually have a publication date because essentially the author started it and abandoned uh the project in 2009 because he was hitting a lot of walls. For those of you who don't know, and that was me when I started reading this book, I was today years old before I learned about Thomas Townsend Brown, and I read so much, you think I would. He was an American physicist who was a leader in developing theories concerning the link between electromagnetic gravitational fields theorized by Einstein. He advanced from theory to application with the development of solid and disk-shaped hint-hint apparatuses, which are believed to have created and utilized temporary uh localized gravitational fields. His work became controversial due to the similarity between his work and what's believed to be the propulsion methods of wink wink observed UFOs. And I did not realize this. He's rumored to be the guy behind the Philadelphia experiment.
SPEAKER_01Yes, yes. I I actually uh Townsend Brown, I actually found out about in the early 80s. So uh I had believe it or not, I worked for someone, he was my boss, and he told me about Tesla and Townsend Brown. So this is early, early 80s, and I've been kind of hooked on him uh uh ever since.
SPEAKER_03Well, well, you know, I'm my my friends are sick of hearing this joke, but when I went to see Oppenheimer, I described it to them as it's Avengers with scientists. And and that's this this is you know, that's Brown too. Yes, his name is mentioned with Einstein Tesla. It's it's you know the same kind of stacked cast as Oppenheimer. And uh names popped up I didn't uh expect, like uh William Stevenson, who Canadians know as the man called Intrepid. Yes, and I really you know don't want to give way too much. But the problem that the author ran into, and and we're gonna talk a bit about the author. He sounds like a great guy, Paul Shotskin. He previously wrote a book uh about Philo T. Farnsworth, the inventor of television, who I didn't also realize also dabbled in nuclear fusion. So his Shotskin wheelhouse seems to be these guys who have these just show up with these fully formed ideas, you know, kind of out of the ether. And where did this come from? Like, who would have thought of television? Who would have thought of this this you know alternate method of physics where you know Townsend said, no, no, grab gravity isn't a pull, it's a push. You know, who would have thought of that? And uh basically after the the problem the author ran into uh is after Brown was, of course, grabbed by the Navy, and he he didn't just work with the Navy, he worked with Vega aircraft, and he worked on the P-38 as well. But the the problem the author runs into that's all you can talk about. His work is still classified.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, so that is um something about um Townsend Brown. So, you know, in later years of his life, and also kind of generally now, he kind of gets dismissed by a lot of people, and they say, Oh no, you know, that thing he talked about was really this, and everyone knows that's nothing.
SPEAKER_03No, and I didn't know he founded NICAP either.
SPEAKER_01That's right, that's right. But also, they there is this shadow of him having a lot of his work classified, yeah, and also that he had people watching him for uh many, many years. And I don't know if you're gonna mention this, but um his daughter, uh Linda Brown, was um involved in a lot of his work, like helping him catalog things, and and she would often mention um a person that was always around, that always seemed to know what they were doing and handling them. And it just lends itself to thinking, well, if he was so unimportant, why were they so curious to make sure he didn't talk to certain people or classify a lot of his work? That makes you wonder.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, and uh she is a major source for the book. And I said, and it's basically why Shotskin picked up the picked up the project again. Because he, you know, he hit a wall, and then finally, you know, she finally consented to talk to him, and that's how the book, you know, took shape and formed. And this, I mean, this is a book, you know, we talk about don't give away spoilers. You know, you have to read it. I I is like, I don't want to say too much. We've given you the basic idea, but there is so much about this guy because of the classified information that isn't known. How do you write a book about that?
SPEAKER_01Yes. The readability, what was it like? Like, was it a good book to read or it's it's pretty good.
SPEAKER_03You really do sense you do sense the author's frustration with trying to get to this story and all the roadblocks he hits on the way. And Townsend's daughter, you know, is quite helpful. But again, as you say, there's this mysterious figure that keeps popping up. Uh I don't want to say too much about. The book is very readable. And I I am giving it five out of five discs.
SPEAKER_01Wow for the author, good.
SPEAKER_03For the author's tenacity in getting this story out there.
SPEAKER_01And I because I think this was um I've read a part of the book so far, and I don't know if I got this from the book or if I was reading about the book, but originally I think his manuscript was over 800 pages, I believe.
SPEAKER_03Yes.
SPEAKER_01On this book.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_01And another another uh little known fact about Townsend Brown that I you know, maybe it only it only appeals to me, is off the coast of Southern California, there's an island called Catalina Island, which side note, I love like it's one of the best places on earth. But I think Townsend Brown spent the last years of his life there and he died on uh Catalina Island.
SPEAKER_03He did, yes. I I I think it would be wonderful if you could interview him, because I think part of the appeal of the book is the process. How do you go about writing about someone that you can't find any information on, but you know there's something there? And to me, that's the heart of the book is in the discovery of this figure. Like you, you know, you say he's kind of disappeared from consciousness. And I really think, yeah, I I do recommend the book because, like I said, how did I not know about this guy?
SPEAKER_01And also he is so connected with the UFO story.
SPEAKER_03Yep, with Nightcap, uh, which he founded with Donald Keyhoe. Uh who's and there's the thing, most of our listeners will remember Keho, but did you know about Brown? You probably didn't.
SPEAKER_01So that definitely um I just started reading the book, like I mentioned, so Christine, it's definitely sounds like I want to finish. And also reading it, it's it's very tantalizing so far. And I've just read the first uh several pages. Well, thank you, Christine. Christine will be back in the coming weeks with another book review. So today we're gonna talk about UFOs and nuclear power stations. Now, as probably most of you know, uh Robert Hastings has done some oh truly incredible work on UFOs over nuclear uh missile launching sites, and that has been a work of decades and interviewing hundreds of witnesses, just monumental. But there hasn't been quite as much work done on UFOs over uh nuclear power stations. But UFOs have been seen over nuclear power stations throughout the decades as well, but there's just not as much information on it. So before we get to the main part of our topic today, I just want to mention something here, the something that I found really interesting is on March 3rd, 2022, Member of Parliament in Canada here, Larry McGuire, he made a request to the Deputy Minister of the Department of Natural Resources, who was um John Hannaford, and he asked him to prepare a report on uh UFOs near Canadian nuclear power stations and also uh drones. Now in Parliament, uh John Hannaford definitely said he would do this, and he would definitely look into it. And when Larry McGuire brought this up, he also uh in his speech mentioned that the uh Swedish security forces had been looking into some UFOs that had been seen over their uh nuclear power generating stations in January of 2022. Now I was able to reach out to uh Klaus Sven, who is the legendary UFO researcher in Sweden, and I asked him if he could look into that for me to see if there was anything to that. So he did get back to me and he said all of those reports turned out to not lead to very much. Um of them were just misidentifications of known things or airplanes. He couldn't really turn up anything that that we would describe as a UFO. So thank you, Kloss, for filling in that bit of uh detail that we didn't know or Larry Maguire wasn't aware of then. So I tried to follow up if John Hannafort has ever got back to Larry Maguire or got back to anyone on what Larry Maguire was trying to find out, and I can't find anywhere where he has issued any kind of report uh talking about uh MP Larry Maguire's question. So I did want to bring up another thing that's uh very interesting, and it involves investigative reporter Daniel Otis. Now I had interviewed Daniel Otis on episode 12 back on November 16th, 2022, and so you can listen to that interview. But Daniel Otis has been investigating uh UFOs seen over ontario nuclear generating sites, and he has put in 200 requests for information on UFOs with the Ontario government and the Ontario Power Generation uh group to find out if indeed there are UFOs been tracked or witnessed over these power stations. And so uh the Ontario Power Generation Group, which are is called OPG, they have denied access to any of his requests. And so what uh Daniel Otis has done is he has acquired a lawyer, and now he actually has the Canadian Constitution Foundation behind him and supporting him in trying to find out this information. So in Canada, that's pretty dramatic. You don't often hear of people trying to go to that extent to get this kind of information, and I gather from reading the report. Reports that uh OPG is worried about um national security and all those things that they always bring up, and for some reason they don't want to give in any information about uh UFOs over their over their power their nuclear power generating stations. But all of this leads us to something very interesting, which I actually dug up from my archives, and as some of you know, I saw a UFO at very close range with my mother, which you can hear about on I think it was episode two of UFO Talker. So I have been fascinated and researching and reading and watching every possible thing you can see on UFOs since I was about age eight. So even when I was going to high school, I did my best to get UFO stories into the school newspaper and just, you know, and I just felt like I was uh Michael Ryan high school UFO investigator. You know, I was hot on the trail of anything that was happening at the time. And um, you know, I was probably just uh not too far off starting my own UFO investigation group or something, but but that didn't pan out. Somewhere around 1975, and I was living in Scarborough, Ontario at the time, I would see this Dodge van. It was I think it was like a silver color, it'd be driving around, and I would see it every so often, and you couldn't help but see it because it had been modified, and on the top it had a huge plexiglass dome on it, and on the side of the vehicle, um it said UFO something. You know, it was Reptune UFO organization or investigations or something like that, and that I was just that had me mesmerized because I just thought, okay, this is amazing. And keep in mind this was, you know, around 1975, so you didn't often see you know unusual vehicles like that that had been heavily modified. So I was able to track down the owner of the van, and his name was Dennis Prophet. Now, Dennis Prophet is a very interesting person because he was originally from England and he had been the RAF during um World War II and he had moved to Canada, and at some point he started a large kind of garage kind of um used car lot. And so from that home base, that's where he started all of his UFO and investigations from. So uh he saw his first UFO on January 16th, 1974, and before that time he said he had no interest in UFOs or anything like that. But after he had witnessed his first UFO, he was, you know, now he was locked in and he was hot on the trail like I was. So he converted a 1974 Dodge Royal Sportsman um with about $15,000 worth worth of updates, and that would have been a lot of money back then. And he was also planning on uh modifying an airstream trailer with about fifteen thousand dollars worth of detection equipment. Now, I don't know if that ever came to be. And he also wanted to start the Reptune Research Organization. Now, also I don't know if that ever panned out. I couldn't find anything that led me to believe that that that actually happened. But over the phone, he did tell me that he had just published a small uh booklet about lots of UFO sightings in the area at the time, which I was totally wanted to read that. So we worked at a time where I could come pick up the booklet. So at that point, in I'm gonna say it was around 1975, he lived off of Shepherd Avenue East, and it was probably a little bit below the the brand new um Toronto Zoo, and a little bit above Highway 401, which is the the expressway. But one thing that is very much different uh now compared to 1975, is so now for people who know the area that east of Toronto, now that's a very built-up area. There's just, you know, mall, houses, streets, stores, just like everywhere else. But back in 1975, there was not a lot of things out that way. And certainly at night, there was no reason to go out there. So he had asked me to come out to his house at around eight o'clock at night. And then I remember it was the winter because it was it was very cold, and this is long before the internet or map quest or anything like that. So I I drove out there, it was dark, obviously. It's the winter, eight o'clock, it's very dark, and it was kind of a very clear night, and it was chilly. I remember that. It was cold. And so the further I drove out that way, it seemed like the less people I saw, the less buildings I saw, and it seemed to get darker and darker. And you know, I all I could think about was UFOs, and I'd probably had read something recently where you know someone had been abducted uh on a uh deserted, lonely highway, kind of like David Vincent and the Invaders, and so all that's rushing through my mind, and I'm by myself, and so he didn't live on uh Shepherd Avenue East, which is a fairly large street. He lived on a street that was off of Shepherd. So I I found that street and I turned down it, and when as I turned down it, there is nothing. It's just darkness, it's just fields, there's no street lights, and I'm thinking I can't really see a house and the road, I think it was maybe a dirt road, I don't know. And as I'm driving down this dirt road for a minute or two, the I'm starting to think, you know, I might want to turn back because it's pretty dark out here, and I don't really know where I'm going. But I thought, I gotta get this book, you know. I gotta get this UFO book. So I went down a little bit more, and sure enough, I could see in this the darkness there was uh an older house off to the side of the road, and there was nothing else, no other homes, no nothing. And this house was kind of covered by trees and hedges, and you know, it looked very mysterious, and so I pulled up into the driveway, and you know, it w it the house, I have to be honest, it looked a bit creepy to tell you the truth. And so I got out, and you know, it's it's dark, there's no street lights, all you can see is stars in the sky, and so I walked up to the front door, and his truck wasn't there. You know, you can't miss a truck like that with a huge plex plexiglass dome on the top. And so I got to the front door, and so I'm knocking on the front door, and like nobody is answering. And I thought, do I have the right place? You know, is what's going on, and all these thoughts going through my mind, and I thought, well, you know what, I'm not gonna stay here much longer because it's kind of creepy, and I I it's kind of uncomfortable being here. So I got about 10 feet away from the door, and then I could hear some rattling or something on the door, and I turned around, and someone had opened the door, but just like by an inch, and they were kind of yelling through the door, and they were saying, Well, what did I want? And I said, Oh, well, I'm here to see um Dennis Prophet. He was gonna give me a book. And the woman said, Who I take it was his wife. She said, Oh, Dennis isn't here. He's he's not here at the moment, but I know you were coming for the book. And I thought, oh, good, I'm gonna get the book. And she said, just come around to the back door and I'll give you the book. She proceeded to close the front door, and I thought, okay, so it took me a lot of courage just to come to the front door of the haunted mansion that I was at. So I thought, yeah, okay. So I did manage to go to the back of the house. Now, the back of the house was more creepy than the front of the house because now, as dark as it was in the front of the house, it seemed way darker in the back. More trees, more hedge, more everything. And there was a uh an old wooden staircase, and as I walked up it, it creaked and kind of swayed a little bit. It, you know, it was such a cliche of a haunted house, I can't even tell you. And talking about it now, of course, ha ha ha, that didn't scare me. But you know, yes, no, I was very scared when I was a teenager in 1975. So she gave me the book, which I was happy to get, and then I got out of there quickly, let's just say. So this book I still have to this very day, and I happened to be looking at it the other week, and I'm probably one of the very few people who have this book because it was self-published and it was kind of a booklet, really. It's about 20 pages long. And in the booklet, there was a cup there were several uh UFO sightings that are in there, but two of them are very interesting, and that's what I want to talk about now because one of them is gives us a little bit of a look into UFOs over the Pickering Nuclear Power Generating Station. Now in the little booklet, he has several uh UFO sightings in there. Some are shorter and some are longer, but there's two that caught my interest that I wanted to talk about on the show today. And one of them is it happened on the night of march thirteenth, nineteen seventy-four. And this would have happened in Scarborough, Ontario. So Dennis was closing up his business establishment at around eleven o'clock at night, and him and another employee, they noticed a silver bell-shaped object descending in the sky. They both looked at it for approximately about five minutes, and they said it seemed to be about a thousand to sixteen hundred feet in the air. And after they had looked at it for about five minutes, uh Dennis got in his car and he was driving home to the place which I just described. And when he was getting near to his house, he stopped his car and got out, and he estimated that the bell-shaped UFO had risen to approximately five to six thousand feet, and then he drove a little bit further. When he got home, he got his wife and his children to come out, and they had noticed when they were looking outside of their house that there were now five objects in the sky, and they were moving in the direction of the CFTO TV transmission tower. So that was a TV station that had a very large transmission tower back then. Now it is kind of the home base of CTV and ESPN, I think it is, and there's no more tower there. They don't I guess they don't need towers anymore. The five objects were descending in a straight line with the center object was pulsating. So they couldn't believe what they were seeing. So he called the hotline for Chum Radio. So Chum Radio was like the station that all teenagers listened to. It was kind of the top hits of the day. That's where you would go to listen to to hear your favorite rock band. But uh they were not interested in the UFO, so they kind of brushed that off. At approximately twelve midnight of these five bell-shaped objects, um, object number three, which was kind of in the middle, it had come out what appeared to be kind of he described it kind of like a slinky that came down a fair distance, and a smaller UFO came out of the bottom of the bell-shaped object, and in kind of a beam of light with this slinky looking thing, it kind of went all the way down to the bottom of the slinky. And then the smaller discs came back up to the bottom of the craft. So some of the discs headed off into Lake Ontario, but some of the other discs remain the bell-shaped objects remained there. And a couple of them uh flashed a green light that he said kind of lit up a large area of the sky. And some of the bell objects were still there at 3 30 a.m. So also in the book he mentions the UFOs that were seen over the Pickering nuclear power plant. So, as I recall, also during that time, there was a lot of talk of UFOs over the nuclear power plant. I mean, it seemed to be a weekly occurrence. You know, just people that you would talk to on the street or your friends. It just seemed to be always everyone talking about it. And it almost became kind of commonplace. If you think about it now, it sounds kind of funny, but there was so much talk of it, you think, well, they must know what they're doing, or someone's got this covered or something like that. So in this booklet, he's mentioned on March 18th, 1975, an object was spotted over the Pickering nuclear power plant, and it just hovered there. It never moved. So on March 21st, at approximately 720 PM, there was two silver objects that were seen over the nuclear power station in Pickering, and one of them was fairly high above the station, and the other was hovering at about 4,500 feet over the station. And he also noted that there was a power failure in the local area at the time. So in some of these stories he doesn't mention the dates, so it's hard to place exactly when this happened. I imagine it was around the same time, but there was also an occurrence where three employees of the nuclear the Pickering nuclear power plant saw an orange UFO that hovered over the plant for eleven minutes. The object turned to a bright red color after hovering as if it was recharged. So probably the most interesting story that Dennis Prophet has in his booklet, it occurred on February fourth, nineteen seventy-five, and it involved the Pickering Nuclear Power Station. And what happened that night, Andy Parks, who is a music director for CHOO Radio in Ajax, he saw uh up to a dozen UFOs hovering over the power plant, and he had been skeptical of all these reports he had heard over the years. So what Mr. Parks did is he took a news crew with them and they went down to the power generating station, and there was a number of other spectators also there, and they included some Ajax Pickering ambulance drivers. There was three of them all together, and there was also a Durham Regional Police Officer was there as well. He drove down to the area to see what all the commotion was about because by then there was a lot of people looking at what was going on. So Andy Parks had called air controllers at Toronto International Airport and Oshawa, which is nearby, that has also a local airport, and they said they had picked up nothing. But Andy Parks had spoken to someone at the smaller Oswa airport during the night of the event, and they can and the control tower confirmed to him that the objects were unidentified. However, by the next day they said the official comment was no, they didn't see anything. So where have we heard that before? And Andy Parks, who was also a uh private pilot, who watched the objects, he said he has never seen any planes maneuver like that or have lights like that. So that's why I always feel that you know history can tell us a lot about what's happening today. And it's always that's why it's so important to have all these this old history of UFO information preserved because the past can tell us so much. But now that we're in the age of the internet and all those things, and the people that run these places like the nuclear power plant in Pickering, they are just more way media savvy than they were in the 70s and earlier, because back then, you know, the guy at night in the control tower could have confirmed that the objects were unidentified, and then you know, he could have told a stranger that he was talking to. How many people can that stranger tell? You know, not many. But today you can tell someone and then they can tell something to and they can go to a million people, like everyone would know. So now everyone's uh way more aware of that. But this is definitely a story that will not go away, and especially uh now that Daniel Otis has a lawyer and he's got some organizations behind him, and we will keep you updated on what he finds and what we find, because we're also we're also digging into it as well. And if any of our listeners out there uh know of any more stories of UFOs seen over the Pickering nuclear power plant or any power plant anywhere in the world, we would definitely be very interested in hearing about those sightings. Because for some reason, these UFOs they seem to be interested in nuclear technology. There is no doubt about that. From the very first detonation of the atomic bomb, they have always been watching and doing surveillance of all anything that humans do with nuclear energy. So here we are so many years later, and I am glad I went to get this book uh so many years ago. And the book was written by Dennis Prophet, and it's called The Amazing West Hill Pickering Sightings. And even though he is no longer with us, I would like to thank Dennis Prophet for all of his work and all the attention he paid to this important topic and everything he has contributed to UFO history, especially here in Southern Ontario. And it also highlights the uh work that AFU is doing and David Marler and QFOS and all of these organizations that are putting a lot of their uh UFO data from over the decades online. It is just so important to support all those efforts because who knows how many other smaller UFO investigators there there have been across the world, and maybe their papers and documents maybe they've got thrown out or they're on the verge of being thrown out. So if you know anybody like that, you should always tell them there are places for this information to go to. Um something I've always felt history in general is always important, but especially the history of unidentified flying objects.
SPEAKER_02Here are the Canadian Civil Aviation Anomalies for the week of January 15th through January 19th, 2024. On January 15th, a Porter Airlines Embraer ERJ 190-400 flying from Toronto Lester B. Pearson Airport to Edmonton, Alberta, reported two to three erratic moving lights above the aircraft while at FL-380 above Quebec Harbor, southwest of Wawa, Ontario. On January 17th, an Air Canada Boeing 787-8 flying from Madrid Barajas, Spain to Toronto Lester B. Pearson Airport, reported a drone or balloon at 7,100 feet in Toronto Terminal Airspace. They continued approach and landed safely. Also on January 17th, a West Jet Boeing 737-800 flying from Calgary, Alberta to Vancouver, British Columbia, inbound to Vancouver International Airport, reported a small silver balloon approximately 1,000 feet below aircraft. There was no impact on operations, and all flights proceeded to their destinations without further incident.
